A great alternative to felt, aluminum bars can provide a unique wading solution in slick and dangerous terrain.

tried rubber and felt then aluma trax on mossy gravel, mossy baseball rock, melon rock, ice covered rocks, sand and mud.
aluma trax wins hands down. not too well recieved in the kitchen or the bar, but everywhere else yesss.
was initially concerned about the extra weight but didn't feel it during the day.
the ability of the plates to grip several pieces of rock at the same time and hold them together, gives the feeling of standing on a platform thus minimizing foot fatigue. i walk long distances to fishing sites and felt fresher at the end of the day than with the other soles.
no dragging your feet allowed though. sloppy trail habits will create tripping opportunities.
great soles. great value.
I've tried non-studded and studded Kling-On soles, the large Studded Rubber sole. I have also used Chota rubber soles. I want you to know that the AlumiTrax sole is by far the best rubber wading soles I've ever used, providing outstanding traction for safe wading. I can't imagine a better wading sole and hope they stay available! Thanks
This is a truly great choice . I've Put at lest 250 hours in the stream on these soles this season, and so far and they are holding up great and unlike felt there is no sliding on slick slabs in heavy currents
Have been through four different soles and found the AlumaTrax Sole to be the best. They do hold better the more scuffed up they are. Have been teased about sounding like a tap dancer in the parking lot, but that stopped when we got to slick rocks and tap dancer was the only one that didn't slip. Almost 2 yrs old and going strong.
On some kinds of rock carbide spikes are the equivalent of ice skates. Nothing is worse than than having your studded boots slip when you are climbing over rocks to get to a stream. A fall on dry land can be extremely dangerous. I trust my Alumatrax soles to hold both when I am scrambling over rocks to get to get to the stream and when I am wading on the same kind of rocks in the stream covered with slime. Not sure how fast the bars will wear down but they do the job. They hold so well that overconfidence can be a problem. A really great product - thanks.
