About The Freshwater Trust:
With a mission to preserve and restore freshwater ecosystems, The Freshwater Trust is an action-oriented not-for-profit organization that restores rivers and streams so that we have healthy water for people, communities and native fish for generations to come.
With a quarter century of science-based conservation and watershed education work behind it, The Freshwater Trust has earned respect as an inclusive, results-oriented group seeking long-term solutions to restoring native fish and stream health. The Freshwater Trust's work makes a real difference for streams and local communities.
Delivering Solid Outcomes:
We work tirelessly to improve freshwater health for the native fish that call Oregon's waters their home – and we deliver solid outcomes year after year. We recently finished a historic project in central Oregon, planting more than 108,000 trees in the Deschutes River basin, one of the most species-rich, productive and pristine trout and steelhead river ecosystems in the Pacific Northwest.
We're in the midst of restoring nearly three miles of the Middle Fork John Day River to its historic course, which will provide key improvements to critical habitat for spring Chinook and summer steelhead.
And, our efforts to restore flow to Oregon's rivers keep 100 million gallons of water per day protected.
