I just received a pair of replacement felt soles from Korkers. I had written in a review about having a felt sole come off and losing it. Korkers replied immediately and sent me a pair of soles N/C. I am very diligent attaching the soles and hopefully I can report back a better outcome. Thanks. Mark
Love these soles and I fish a lot. They do wear out fairly quickly for me but the number of fish days per sole is good. I reviewed the other soles that came with my boots (which weren't very good) but these are great. I think I'll try the studded version to see if I can get more life out of them.
Living in CO, we have all of the invasive's you can imagine, Zebra Muscles, New Zealand Mud Snail, Didymo, etc... Having the ability to toss these in a plastic bag and in to the freezer is the only reason I can still justify wearing felt. Deep freezing is really the only way to be sure you did your due diligence killing invasive's... RINSING IS NOT ADEQUATE
I bought my boots with two other soles. The boot is very comfortable, but I didn't like the hard sole. I had to special order the felt soles and they have been a life saver. I can now safely wade the river without fear of falling. I have arthritis in my knees and can't afford to fall on them. I make sure I rinse them and since I only fish one river, I don't worry about invasive plants.
I have been a fan of felt for as long as I can remember. I got a pair of these with my boots and was really hesitant to try out.. They don't have the same feel as felt but they are way more versatile than felt. A lot faster forest walking and log Jam crossings!
I bought these to go salmon fishing and was i happy i did. Fast water, a bunch of people and i "stuck" to the rocks. One of the best purchases I've made.
