These boots worked amazingly well on a snowshoeing trip. Feet kept warm and dry the whole day. I also use these at work (walking about 8 miles a day) when it's icy/snowy/cold, and they were comfortable right out of the box, no break in period to speak of.
The interchangeable treads are great, however, I have another trick for these wonderful boots... Remove the treads so you have just the bare, smooth bottom. Install your "micro-spikes" and they'll lay perfectly flat on the bare bottom.... I used this method to hike Mt Abe today... 10 degrees, on an ice and snow covered trail!
As an icefisherman these boots are awesome. My feet never get cold and the studded bottom soles are perfect for the ice.
For as long as Korkers are made I will wear them. They are by far the best pair of boots I have ever had. And they last!!
I bought these boots 2 yrs ago & they are great.Easy to slip on & lace up. Always warm even up to -15 so far. I live in northern Idaho so we dress for the cold & these boots work for me.
